Terms and conditions
Last updated 25 September 2026
These terms apply when you buy from Kevton Technologies, book a repair or create an account on this website.
1. Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by Kevton Technologies, a computer shop and repair workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. In these terms “we” and “us” mean Kevton Technologies and “you” means the person placing the order.
All prices on this site are in Kenyan shillings (KES).
2. Placing an order is an offer, not a contract
Submitting an order on this website does not complete a sale. It is an offer to buy. No money changes hands at that moment: there is no card form and no payment gateway anywhere on this site.
We will telephone you to confirm the item is in stock and agree a delivery or collection time. The contract is formed at that confirmation, not when you press the button. If we cannot confirm, because the item has sold or we cannot reach you, there is no contract and you owe nothing.
3. Stock and pricing
We sell from a physical shop so an item can sell over the counter between you ordering it and us calling you. Stock shown on this site is our best current record, not a guarantee.
We take care to price correctly but if an item is listed at an obviously wrong price we are not obliged to sell at it. We will tell you the correct price when we call and you are free to decline.
The price we agree on the confirmation call is the price you pay. Delivery charges are shown at checkout and on our delivery page.
4. Condition of goods
Every product is labelled New, Refurbished or Ex-UK and the label is part of what you are buying.
Refurbished and Ex-UK items are pre-owned. They are tested and graded before sale and they may show cosmetic wear consistent with previous use. Where a specific item has notable marks we say so on its page. If the condition of a delivered item does not match its description, tell us and we will put it right.
5. Payment
You pay on delivery, by M-Pesa when we confirm or at the counter. You choose at checkout and we confirm on the call.
Goods remain ours until they are paid for in full. Payment by M-Pesa is processed by Safaricom under their terms.
6. Delivery and collection
We deliver across Nairobi, send upcountry by courier and offer collection from the shop. Fees are on the delivery page.
Delivery times are agreed with you on the confirmation call rather than fixed in advance. We will tell you if something is going to be late. Risk in the goods passes to you when you or someone at your address receives them.
7. Warranty
Warranty cover is stated on each product’s page and that statement governs for that item. Our general position is twelve months on the products we sell, unless the product page says otherwise.
Warranty covers failure in normal use. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, damage from unauthorised repair or normal wear on consumable parts such as batteries.
To make a claim, contact us with your order reference. We may need to inspect the device before we can resolve it.
8. Returns and faults
If an item arrives faulty, is not what you ordered or does not match its description, contact us and we will repair, replace or refund it. Nothing in these terms removes the rights you have under Kenyan consumer law.
Because we confirm every order by phone and you inspect the item before paying, most problems are settled at the door. If one is not, call us with your order reference and we will sort it out.
Software, digital codes and consumable items that have been opened cannot usually be returned once used, unless they are faulty.
9. Repairs
When you book a repair, a technician inspects the device and calls you with what it needs and what it will cost. No work is carried out until you agree to that quote.
Please back up your data before handing over a device. Repair can involve replacing storage or reinstalling software and we cannot guarantee data on a device brought in for repair.
Devices left uncollected for an extended period after we have told you they are ready may incur storage charges. We will always try to reach you first.
10. Custom PC builds
A build quote is based on the parts and prices available when it is issued and is valid for the period stated on the quote. Component prices move and if a part is unavailable we will offer an equivalent and confirm with you before building.
11. Your account
An account is optional. You can order without one. If you create one, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.
We may suspend an account being used fraudulently or in a way that harms other customers. You can ask us to close your account at any time; see our privacy policy for what happens to your data.
12. This website
We try to keep product descriptions, specifications and images accurate. Manufacturers change specifications and images are illustrative. Where an exact specification matters to you, ask us before ordering and we will confirm it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed and the terms in force when you placed your order are the ones that apply to it.
